Bag filter is a commonly used dust treatment equipment in industrial production, and its ability to effectively filter dust plays an important role in ensuring the hygiene of the production environment. However, during use, sometimes there may be sudden dust exceeding the standard, which makes people curious. Why is this?
Firstly, the sudden excessive dust in the bag filter may be caused by damage or aging of the bag. Cloth bags are often subjected to high-speed airflow and dust impacts, which can lead to damage or aging over time, resulting in ineffective dust capture and the occurrence of exceeding standards. In this regard, we can regularly check the condition of the cloth bags, replace aging or damaged cloth bags in a timely manner, to ensure the normal operation of the dust collector.
In addition, inadequate maintenance and cleaning of the dust collector discharge outlet is also one of the reasons for excessive dust. The discharge port is located at the end of the equipment, and the dust will be filtered by the cloth bag and discharged through the discharge port. If the discharge port is blocked or loose, it will cause the dust to be unable to be discharged smoothly, thereby interfering with the normal operation of the equipment. Therefore, in the daily maintenance process, we should regularly check the condition of the discharge outlet and carry out timely cleaning and maintenance work.
In addition, problems with the ventilation system of the dust collector are also an important factor in exceeding dust standards. The ventilation system is the core part of the bag filter, responsible for providing sufficient airflow to the bag and ensuring effective dust capture. If there are design defects or operational failures in the ventilation system, it will affect the flow direction and speed of the airflow, making it impossible for dust to be completely adsorbed onto the cloth bag, resulting in exceeding the standard. In this situation, we need to identify the root cause of the ventilation system problem and promptly repair or replace the relevant equipment to restore the normal operation of the dust collector.
Finally, improper process operation may also lead to excessive dust in the bag filter. For example, in the production process, if the humidity of the processed material is too high or the moisture content exceeds the processing capacity of the equipment, it will lead to a decrease in the filtering effect of the bag filter, which cannot achieve the expected dust removal effect, resulting in the occurrence of dust exceeding the standard. Therefore, when using a bag filter, we should adjust the process parameters according to the actual situation to ensure that the humidity and moisture content during the production process are within a reasonable range.
